With mental health being such a prevelant issue in today's society it would be interesting to see if
certain countries suffer more or less based on economy, geographic location etc...
The map above shows sucide rates in europe as of 2017 per 100,000. As you can see eastern post soviet
countries seem to have much higher levels of suicide than most of those in the west and on the mediterranian.
With the expection of France and Belgium which upon further research seems to be farmers committing suicide with
an estimated 600 farmers killing themselves each year in France*
While looking at this map is truly heartbreaking it also raises further questions about what is being done in each
of these countries to prevent suicide and depression. Which I explored...
